submission site

Abstract and paper submissions are made using the EasyChair conference management system. To submit a paper go to http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=selse5. If you have any problems submitting your materials please contact webmaster@selse.org.

Please follow the instructions below for your submission.

Instructions for Papers and Presentations

The maximum length for a finished paper is 6 pages. Extended abstracts should not exceed 4 pages. Please use the IEEE Transactions format available here for the camera-ready version of the papers. Please note that no pages numbers or other text is allowed in the header or footer areas. Authors names and affiliations should be included in the submission.

The paper should be submitted in a file named <PaperNumber>_<Lastname>_P.doc (or pdf). Your paper number  is available from the e-mails you have received from EasyChair.  The slides for your paper should be in a file named <PaperNumber>_<Lastname>_V.ppt (or pdf).

There are no guidelines for slides. Presenters will have 25 minutes for their presentations and 5 minutes for Q&A. Authors doing poster presentations should bring hard copy of their poster materials to the workshop. The workshop will provide foam board for mounting the materials.

Instructions for posters

SELSE will provide easels and 30"x40" black poster board, as well as push pins and tape to attach paper to the poster, and clips to attach the poster to the easel. You also have the option of bringing your own integrated poster of size 30"x40" or less. Please keep in mind that the poster should be easy to read from a distance of at least 10 feet. If you bring slides or other printouts, you probably want a white or other light background to display nicely on black poster board.

presentations and publication

Authors may designate that their submissions are intended for paper presentation, poster presentation, or either format. Presentations are made to the entire workshop, while posters are presented in a relatively structured manner that allows the authors to interact with all attendees in small groups. The extended abstracts for accepted posters are included in the workshop proceedings.

The workshop proceedings are published in hard copy for the attendees but are not distributed as official IEEE proceedings. Authors are encouraged to permit their papers and presentation materials to be made available on the SELSE web site after the workshop. Authors are free to use papers and presentation materials at other conferences.
